Russian Orthodox Gold Crucifix

This is a religious crucifix pendant, crafted from high-quality yellow gold. The pendant features a traditional design with intricate detailing on both the front and back. The front side showcases a three-dimensional representation of Jesus Christ on the cross, often referred to as the “corpus.” The corpus has a contrasting finish, white gold, which highlights the figure against the yellow gold cross. Above the corpus, the letters “INRI” are inscribed, and other religious symbols are present on the base. The cross itself has a textured, hammered or stippled background with raised, polished borders. The reverse side of the pendant is equally detailed, featuring a Cyrillic inscription with ornate scrollwork above and below the text, set against a similar textured background. The cross has a polished bail at the top for threading a chain.
